Is iced coffee as healthy as hot coffee?

Research has shown there are a wide range of health benefits associated with drinking coffee, but does cold coffee supply the same healthy nutrients as the hot kind? Harvard Chan researchers say it's likely that both drinks are equally beneficial. Coffee has been linked with decreased risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and neurodegenerative disease. The exact mechanism for the benefits is unclear, but researchers believe it’s tied to coffee’s high levels of antioxidants, polyphenols, and minerals Harvard Chan's Frank Hu says serving your coffee over ice won't affect the drink's nutritional profile, but one type of coffee may be slightly healthier than others: cold brew. Cold brew is made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water for several hours. This process can make cold brew less acidic than regular coffee and that means people may have less need to mask the acidic taste with calorie-laden cream, milk, and sugar.
